JORDAN and Brandon Abou-Ghaida are twins, they are both tradies and together have formed a pop-rap act known as Take Two.
The 20-year-olds hail from Camden and live together in a house they bought for themselves.
Bizarrely prank calling girls got their career started.
“Eventually they found out who we were and that led to our first ever video we put on facebook,” Jordan said.
“We got a great response from that which led to us making our own Youtube channel.”
Over the past three months the twosome have been working on their second major single Don’t Stop.
The self-penned tune has hit iTunes and is available in all leading music stores.
The boys also managed to get 86,000 views on the video in the opening week.
After meeting with an international producer their first iTunes single was released back in 2013.
The boys constantly post cover versions of hit songs, funny videos and photos of themselves on Facebook.
Jordan said the social media response has been huge.
“We exploded on social media gaining heaps of exposure and followers through our videos,” he said.
“We’ve had a few videos and have reached more than 1.3 million total views.
Jordan said one their highlights was playing in front of their home crowd.
“We’ve been doing quite a few big shows,” he said.
“Performing at Koshigaya park opening in front of a 20,000 crowd was awesome.
The duo has since signed with one of Sydney’s biggest independent record labels Oxygen Music.
Jordan said it was hard juggling everything in their busy lives.
“It can sometimes be hard for us to write and make new music being 19 having full-time trades and a house but I do like to think we are doing well,” he said.
We are very modest people, through our music I want to be able to connect with people.
“I never see myself as being better than anyone I just think if I can do it so can you.
It would be a dream of ours to do music full-time and live off the music we make.
“The main goal is to inspire and help as many people as possible.”
