Teenager posed as Magdalene Catholic College student to impress girl
The teenager who snuck into a Sydney high school in broad daylight to impress a girl, even flaunting the audacity to wear the school’s uniform, has been identified by police.

A fractured high school romance inspired a 14-year-old boy to sneak into a Sydney high school on Thursday, sparking wild rumours of a knife-wielding teenager roaming the school, police say.
The boy donned the uniform of Magdalene Catholic College uniform and waltzed into the school campus in a bid to impress a girl.
The student impostor was in the college grounds for a short time before being confronted by a teacher.
He was later spotted later near the back of the school.
Camden Police Area Command crime manager Chief Inspector Shane Woolbank said the boy’s actions were “all over a girl” and he had been identified by police.
The college was forced to write a letter to parents to combat the spread of “fake news”, which included allegations the student impostor was found with a knife hiding in the toilets.
“We have become aware of inaccurate information which has been posted about this event and the false mention of a knife and/or this intruder being ready to attack a Magdalene student,” Principal Mathew McMahon the letter said.
“Obviously rumours and falsehoods can spread quickly, however I want to reassure everyone in the community that safety is paramount at Magdalene and such an event would be extremely unusual for any school let alone Magdalene.”
The 14-year-old boy is booked in to receive an official police caution for trespass under the Youth Offenders Act.
