Teen caught speeding while watching YouTube
A TEENAGE P-plate driver has been detected travelling more than 45km/h above the speed limit while allegedly watching YouTube videos on his mobile phone last night.

The 18-year-old from Spring Farm was travelling along Camden Valley Way in Catherine Field about 10.40pm.
Highway Patrol officers detected a Mitsubishi Lancer allegedly travelling at a speed of 142km/h in an 80km/h speed zone.
When police were speaking with the teen driver, police say they noticed a mobile phone playing YouTube videos in the centre console.
The man’s licence was confiscated and suspended on the spot for six months.
He received an infringement for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h ($2435 and six demerit points) and using a mobile phone when not permitted ($337 and five demerit points).
The registration plates on his vehicle also were removed and have been handed back to the RMS for three months.
