Tafuna Taumalolo charged with Alex Ioane’s murder

One of the youths accused of killing “kind hearted” Alex Ioane, 18, at an Ingleburn house party on Saturday night has been revealed as Eagle Vale teenager Tafuna Taumalolo, 18.
Friends of Ioane watched on as Taumalolo’s matter was briefly mentioned at Campbelltown Local Court today.
Taumalolo, who was formally charged at Campbelltown Police Station last night, did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.
Friends spoke in support of Taumalolo outside Campbelltown Local Court this morning.
He is next due to appear at Campbelltown Local Court by audio visual link on July 31.
A 17-year-old also charged with the murder of Alex Ioane appeared in Campbelltown Children’s Court and did not apply for bail. It was formally refused.
The matter will return to court on July 22.
