Houses in Sydney have dipped as low as $379,000, which could make the great Australian dream a reality for people wanting home ownership.
NewsLocal has compiled a list of the cheapest houses on realestate.com.au, currently on the market across the city.
In southwest Sydney – in suburbs such as Macquarie Fields, Ingleburn and Bradbury – you can still buy a house for under $400,000 – making it the cheapest region.
Meanwhile, in western Sydney, homebuyers can snap up a house or townhouse for close to $400,000 including in Werrington, Colyton and St Marys.
In comparison, the cheapest house or townhouse in Sydney’s expensive inner and eastern suburbs will set you back $900,000.
An extensive list of the most affordable homes can be found below and includes houses and townhouses but not apartments.
The data is based on up-to-date information from Australia’s largest property website, realestate.com.au.
Property prices have been increasing in recent months across Sydney following a downturn earlier this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
