Sydney Grade Cricket resumed on Saturday with Campbelltown Camden Ghosts’ second-grader Abdul Hameed-Kherkhah putting Mosman in a spin with the outstanding figures of 5-11.

The Ghosts were in trouble at 6-89 in their one-dayer against the Whales at Raby.

Somehow the home side scrambled to 174 before the Afghanistan-born bowler undertook a rescue mission.

Hameed-Kherkhah took five wickets in a quality display of off-spin bowling to dismiss Mosman for 122 and secure the win.

The bowler also has a rookie contract with Big Bash club Sydney Thunder.

Meanwhile, Ghosts first-grade team got up against third-placed Whales after setting a target of 264.

Ryan Gibson (89) continued his great form, while Joshua Clarke (35), Scott Coyte (36) and Adam Coyte (39) scored the majority of the Ghosts’ total of 264.

Some outstanding bowling from the Ghosts got the visitors home despite a middle-order fightback from Mosman.

Opening bowlers Scott Coyte (3-57) and Tom Rogers (4-53) produced the required damage to dismiss Mosman with 17 runs to spare.

A lack of runs on the board was the common denominator in the lower grades.

At Mosman, third grade made just 149 chasing 238.

The Ghosts fourths couldn’t defend 99, Mosman winning by four wickets.

Fifth grade should have won after holding Mosman to just 136, but they were all out for 70. Jake Moon took 3-15 off eight and Michael Strong made short work of the tail, closing the innings with 3-1 off two overs.
