Softball Campbelltown produces a plethora of representative players

Softball Campbelltown is on the up and up with six players chosen to represent the state in the NSW under-15s Metro boys’ and girls’ teams.

Softball Campbelltown is on the up and up with six players chosen to represent the state in the NSW under-15s Metro boys’ and girls’ teams.

Three others were selected in the NSW Catholic schools team.

As well as making the NSW team, Pania Nicholson also has been selected in the Softball Australia national under-15s development squad. This squad will tour the US in September. Softball Campbelltown’s Jean Morel was delighted with the representative success.

“I’m extremely pleased and proud to announce these players have been selected­,” he said.

Jaimie Zaballero, Mia Rudolph­ and Pania Nicholson were selected in the girls under-15s Metro side.

Softball Campbelltown coaches Linda and Gary Nicholson have been appointed as coaches for the team as well.

Davis Haworth, Dean Barlow and Tyler Kelly were selected­ for the NSW under-15s Metro boys’ team.

The NSW Metro sides played against New Zealand, Japan and Canberra in the under-15 Junior International Challenge at Blacktown recently.

Paula Zaballero, Lachlan Wallis, Sebastian Tanti were selected in NSW Catholic schools teams.

Campbelltown’s Peter Doherty was appointed coach of the NSW Country team.
