FOUR Macarthur region stars achieved Australian soccer's highest female honour when Sydney FC defeated Melbourne Victory 3-1 in the W-League grand final on Sunday.
Sham Khamis, Elizabeth Ralston, Alanna Kennedy and substitute Amy Harrison travelled with the Sky Blues to AAMI Park, Melbourne and returned with their second W-League title after goals from Nicola Bolger, Sam Kerr and Kyah Simon.
Minto keeper Khamis, Camden's Ralston and Rosemeadow midfielder Kennedy all made valuable contributions in the final.
The Sky Blues struck in the 25th minute when Bolger charged down an errant Melbourne back-pass to find the back of the net. Melbourne levelled the score with a magnificent free kick from Petra Larsson.
