Silverdale Rd: Fuel tanker crashes into tree, Orangeville
A fuel tanker has crashed into a tree at Orangeville with Fire and Rescue crews working to contain the fuel spill. Motorists have been advised to avoid the area.

Fire crews are working hard to contain a fuel spill after a truck crashed in the Macarthur region.
About 8am on Wednesday, emergency services received calls that a tanker carrying 35,000 litres of fuel had crashed on Silverdale Rd at Orangeville.
Fire and Rescue crews from Picton and Narellan arrived to find fuel leaking from a truck which had hit a tree. Operations immediately began to contain the spill with foam lines set up for fire protection and an exclusion zone put in place.
The driver managed to remove himself from the truck and was assessed by paramedics at the scene. He did not need to be transported to hospital.
Crews have placed a foam blanket over petrol which has spilt from a 7500 litre compartment on the crashed truck.
Live Traffic showed congestion in the area around Silverdale Rd, Werriberri Rd, and Bobs Range Rd.
Wollondilly Shire Mayor Matt Gould posted on social media that Silverdale Rd was closed and would be for an extended period of time, advising drivers to avoid the area.
Residents in Warragamba, Silverdale, Werombi and Theresa Park can currently access the area by detouring via Werombi Rd and Bobs Range Rd.
