PREMIER Barry O'Farrell took the trip out to Smeaton Grange yesterday to wish boxer Daniel Geale all the best for his upcoming IBF world middleweight title defence in the US.
Camden state Liberal MP Chris Patterson invited Mr O'Farrell to the Grange Old School Boxing Gym to offer support ahead of Geale's bout with Englishman Darren Barker in Atlantic City on Saturday, August 17.
The fight will be shown on Main Event at 11.30am on Sunday, August 18 (AEST).
Geale said he was confident about the title defence.
"My last five or six fights, I have felt I was in better shape each time and I'm looking forward to the challenge," he said.
