POLICE are investigating a botched theft of a black Holden Commodore Ute at a Smeaton Grange caryard, and are turning to the public to help close the investigation.
Police wish to identify two men captured on CCTV vision, wearing black face coverings, black pants and dark-coloured hooded jumpers at Wakeling Automotive Wholesale Direct caryard in the early hours of August 30.
Camden police believe the duo can assist in an investigation into an attempted theft of the vehicle, which took place between 5.30pm August 29 and 7am August 30.
“We have had an unknown attempted to steal a motor vehicle,” Camden PAC crime manager Detective Inspector Jayne Doherty said.
“They’ve smashed the window of one of the cars for sale, and attempted to hotwire the car.
“We believe the persons depicted in the CCTV vision may be able to help.”
Any person with information relating to the incident is asked to contact Narellan Police Station on 4632 4499.
