Pensioner charged with inappropriately touching teenage girl has some charges dropped

A pensioner accused of sexually touching a 14-year-old girl on her front lawn has had two charges against him officially withdrawn. He has also been hit with a fresh charge.

A pensioner accused of sexually touching a 14-year-old girl on her front lawn has had two charges against him officially withdrawn.

Michael Sadek, aged in his late 60s, was arrested and charged by the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad in August last year after he allegedly approached the teenage girl from behind.

The matter will be mentioned in Campbelltown Local Court in a fortnight’s time.

The Elderslie man had been originally charged with five offences but two charges, being enter dwelling with intent and aggravated enter dwelling with intent knowing people are there, were formally withdrawn by the Director of Public Prosecutions in Picton Local Court on Tuesday.

He remains accused of three counts of intentionally sexually touch child aged between 10 and 16 and has been hit with a fresh charge of enter building with intent of committing an indictable offence.

The matter will be mentioned in Campbelltown Local Court on March 25 with a plea expected to be formally entered at this time, the court heard.
