LOCAL residents are jumping at the opportunity to work closer to home.
Figures show that 86 per cent of visitors at the Oran Park Smart Work Hub have joined up as members since its launch in October last year.
The hub, located at Oran Park Podium, allows professionals to ditch the tedious commute to the city and get the job done in a modern workspace.
Director of branding agency Tamlyn Creative, Tamlyn van Zyst, of Harrington Park, said overnight accessibility is what drew her in.
“I love I can come in 24/7, when it suits me. This is a great asset for small business owners that either want to work part time or full time at the hub,” she said. “I’d highly recommend trying the space out.”
Membership is a mix of business owners, employees who commute long distances and Government employees.
Work Hub host Becky Pascoe said based on feedback she had received, the figures were no surprise.
“For members who usually commute long distances to work, the option of working closer to home gives time back to them and their family and has actually seen them increase in productivity,” she said.
“As people become increasingly aware of the Smart Work Hub, our membership grows.”
Memberships start from $180 per month. Details: the Work Hub on 9043 7554.
