Off-duty cop’s DUI shame after Friday night pints
A father-of-two and police officer has pleaded guilty to drink driving after downing four pints of beer at a Narellan bar.

An off-duty police officer has pleaded guilty to drink driving after sinking four pints of beer at a Narellan bar.
Senior constable Simon Christopher Jones, of The Oaks, was spotted just after 11pm on Friday, October 11 driving a ute without it’s headlights on, travelling along Richardson Rd, Narellan.
Two Highway Patrol officers pulled over the 36-year-old where he revealed he had been drinking at The Village Narellan. He later recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.088 at an Eagle Vale RBT station.
Father-of-two Jones had his licence immediately suspended at the time of the incident.
The police officer, who didn’t personally appear at Picton Local Court today, is attached to a South West Metropolitan Region Command.
He will be sentenced at Downing Centre Local Court on November 18.
