NSW Police appeal for information following car fires in Oran Park

A Mercedes-Benz has been found on fire twice in seven days at the same Sydney address – with police launching an investigation between the suspicious incidents. Now, they are hoping to speak to people seen nearby.

A Mercedes-Benz has been found on fire twice in seven days at the same Oran Park address – with police launching an investigation between the suspicious incidents.

Emergency services were a property at Gruen Pl, Oran Park following reports of a car fire about 3:30am on June 11.

Officers arrived to find a Mercedes-Benz on fire, which was extinguished by firefighters.

A week later, about 11.10pm on Sunday, June 18, emergency services were called to the same address as the same car was on fire.

Police established a crime scene after both incidents and are treating them as linked.

Following inquiries, police are searching for the driver and passengers of a grey ute seen driving on Seidler Pl, Oran Park, about the time of both incidents.

All people were seen wearing dark clothing.
