A woman who is behind bars on remand after she allegedly used an “improvised weapon” to injure a couple was in shock when she found out what she has been charged with.

The friend of a woman behind bars and refused bail for allegedly injuring a couple in Sydney’s southwest over the weekend has sobbed and yelled “I love you” when she appeared in court.
Nicole Ohlsen, 36, appeared at Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday charged with one count of wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Emergency services were called to Dobu Place at Glenfield about 5.30pm Saturday where they found a man with a slash to his upper left leg and his female partner with a minor laceration to her head.
The 44-year-old man and 47-year-old woman were taken to Campbelltown Hospital for treatment to the injuries as police established a crime scene and found an “improvised weapon”.
Three women were arrested on Saturday and taken to Campbelltown Police Station but two were released.
Ms Ohlsen was held in overnight custody and was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm early Sunday morning.
She appeared at Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday but did not apply for bail.
The 36-year-old was dressed in her prison greens when she appeared at Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday and was visibly shocked when a Legal Aid lawyer told her what she had been charged with.
The lawyer told the court Ms Ohlsen wants to be represented by Aboriginal Legal Services as her parents, sister and a friend supported her in the public gallery.
Bail was not applied for but is expected to be applied for when she appears again.
Her friend sobbed in court when she heard Ms Ohlsen was not going to be released and yelled “I love you” to the screen.
Ms Ohlsen is due back in court on June 23.
