Narellan Rangers reigned supreme at Campbelltown Sports Stadium after a 2-1 victory against Minto Stingers in the M-League first-grade grand final on Friday night.

The top tier of the Macarthur Football Association was hotly contested in front of 1500 fans and defence remained tight before Minto finally broke the stalemate with a goal in the 65th minute.

Minto's Scott Watkins and Narellan's Ben Fuller contested a Minto cross in the air, but Watkins won the duel and headered home.

Trailing 1-0 in the second half, Narellan were desperate for the equaliser and found it with 15 minutes remaining through striker Ryan Seton.

Several shots were deflected before Seton grabbed a loose ball in the box and found the back of the net.

With six minutes remaining, Narellan striker Friday Jeremiah took the ball down the right-hand side and beat three Minto defenders, before delivering the ball to Seton to give him his brace.

Rangers held on and earned a 2-1 victory.

Vice-president Steve Holzer said it was a fantastic accomplishment.

"Our whole club was ecstatic with the win and it meant a lot to us, because it's been a 12-month project," he said.

Narellan's Robbie Caldicott received the M-League goalkeeper of the year award.

Macarthur Football Association general manager Glenn Armstrong praised the teams.

"It was an outstanding game of football and the M-League has come a long way in its five years," he said.

In the M-League reserve-grade grand final, Camden Tigers defeated Mt Annan 4-1.
