Mum allegedly almost three times over drink driving limit with three kids in car
A 25-year-old mum has been caught allegedly drink-driving in the early hours of Sunday morning. Three young children, including a six-month-old, were in the car at the time.
A young mum has been caught allegedly drink-driving with three children under the age of six in her car.
The 25-year-old was stopped by officers from Campbelltown Highway Patrol on The Kraal Drive, Blair Athol, about 1.30am on Sunday.
The woman underwent a roadside breath test and allegedly returned a positive result.
Police inspected the vehicle and found two children, aged two and five, not properly restrained.
A six-month-old child was also in the car, but was properly restrained.
The woman was arrested and taken to Campbelltown Police Station where she returned an alleged reading of 0.138.
Her licence was suspended and she was issued a Court Attendance Notice for driving with mid-range PCA.
The woman was also issued two infringement notices in relation to the unrestrained children.
She is due to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on August 27.
Police also lodged a ‘child-at-risk’ report with the Department of Family and Community Services regarding the matter.
