ONE trait of Minto mixed martial artist Mark Hunt is that he tells his opponents to watch out for his knockout power prior to each heavyweight fight.
His past three opponents in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) failed to heed the warning and he is hoping to extend his winning streak when he takes on 213cm-tall Dutchman Stefan Struve on Saturday in Japan.
A win against 24-year-old Struve at the UFC on Fuel TV 8 event will put the man known as 'Super Samoan' in line to challenge fighters in the upper echelons of the UFC heavyweight division.
"I'm looking forward to it. I had my first fight when I was 16 which was when he was a little kid," Hunt said.
Hunt competed as a professional kickboxer for 10 years and secured the K1 World Grand Prix in Japan in 2001.
"It's a good feeling to go back to Japan, that's where I started my career and where I fought some of the best fighters in the world," he said.
"My body feels good, or as good as it could be."
