Michael Watson, 52, arrested for illegal gun and drug stash uncovered in home

A stash of illegal firearms including two rifles, a silencer, scope and illicit drugs were uncovered following an investigation in southwest Sydney.
Michael Watson, 52, appeared at Campbelltown Local Court on Tuesday where he was granted bail by Magistrate Peter Thompson after he was charged for drug and weapon possession offences including possessing an unauthorised firearm, possessing an unauthorised prohibited firearm, two counts of not keeping a firearm safely.
He was also charged with drug possession and cultivating a prohibited plant.
Police launched a search warrant at a home on Blenheim Pl, Glenfield on Monday at 5:20pm.
During the search police seized two rifles, a scope, a silencer and illicit drugs.
A man was arrested and taken to Campbelltown police station before he was charged.
Watson appeared at Campbelltown Local court on May 7 and was granted bail under the condition he report to Campbelltown police station once a week.
