Matt Moss enjoys round six MX win at Appin Motocross Track

MOTOCROSS superstar Matt Moss flew high over his old stomping ground after an emphatic win in round six of the MX Nationals at Appin Motocross Complex on Sunday.

MOTOCROSS superstar Matt Moss flew high over his old stomping ground after an emphatic win in round six of the MX Nationals at Appin Motocross Complex on Sunday.

The Team Suzuki rider, of Sussex Inlet, was at home at one of the tracks he grew up on, and won both the qualifying and Pro Open class.

In The best lap of his qualifying heat set the tone for the day as the 25-year-old clocked an impressive 1min 42.938sec, then He then backed up with a solid time of 1:44.989 mins to claim the Pro Open round six win.

Cobbitty's Kieran Tisdale was seconds off the pace and finished 18th with 1:51.406 mins.

Camden rider and Team Honda member Daniel McCoy chose not to race, but said the event was great for the Macarthur region.

"I'm focusing on supercross this year but it's great to give our residents a round of the nationals," he said.
