A married pensioner from Elderslie has received strict conditional bail after being charged with sexually touching a 14-year-old girl.

Elderslie man Michael Sadek, 68, charged with the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl, has received strict conditional bail at Campbelltown Local Court today.
The married pensioner allegedly approached the teenage girl from behind and sexually touched her while she was in her front yard on Monday. The girl was known to him.
The allegation was reported to Camden police and following inquiries by the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad, Sadek was arrested at an Elderslie home last night (Thursday).
He was charged with three counts of intentionally sexually touch child aged between 10 and 16 and enter dwelling with intent (not steal/destroy/damage).
Each offence, if found guilty, carry a maximum penalty of ten years imprisonment.
The 68-year-old man, who required assistance from an Arabic translator, appeared by audiovisual link at Campbelltown Local Court today.
His Legal Aid lawyer Ms Domadyous told the court Sadek, who was supported by his two adult sons, had no criminal history and a number of health ailments.

The police prosecutor, who opposed the bail application, said it appeared Sadek had “targeted” the young girl.
He told the court it was in the best interests of the victim and other children in the community that Sadek remained in custody.
The 68-year-old was granted bail with strict conditions, including that he lives at a Currans Hill address, report to Narellan Police Station three days a week and surrender his passport.
One of his sons also posted a $10,000 bail surety.
The matter will return to Campbelltown Local Court on October 15.
