Magic mushroom dealer Brendan Webster pleads guilty to drug charges in Picton

A Picton man charged with supplying magic mushrooms has pleaded guilty in court after police executed a search warrant at a property last year.

A Picton man charged with supplying magic mushrooms has pleaded guilty and now awaits sentencing.

Brendan Webster, 34, appeared in Picton Local Court on Friday and pleaded guilty to possessing prohibited drugs, and one count of supplying a prohibited drug.

Three counts of possessing restricted substances will also be taken into account when Webster is sentenced.

Court documents state that police executed a search warrant at 7pm on May 27 at a property in Picton as part of an investigation.

After searching the rooms in the house they found multiple types of drugs including Xanax tablets and valium.

The documents state that they also found Arimidex which is used to treat breast cancer but can be used by bodybuilders to reduce the effects of anabolic steroids inside a bedroom drawer.

Officers also found magic mushrooms and cannabis inside a coffee table that Webster told them belonged to him.

Magistrate Mark Douglass ordered a sentencing assessment report and the matter has been adjourned to August 5. Webster remains on bail.
