The Macarthur region’s picturesque scenery was on show for the third annual #SnapSydney today.

This year’s community photo-fest, organised by NewsLocal newspapers, saw thousands of images taken across the region, Sydney and the Central Coast and shared on social media.

Amateur snappers were joined by more than 100 of our journalists and photographers, who have been taking photos all day.

The pictures were a testament to the natural beauty of our home and the spirit and diversity of its people.

Macarthur Chronicle readers have captured favourite places, people and pets.

Across Sydney, pictures were taken by more than 100 reporters and photographers from land, sea and air.
