A young man allegedly possessed seven naked photos of a 14-year-old girl that he had sexual intercourse with twice in the Macarthur region.
Jason William Duncan, 22, had previously been charged with seven offences including two counts of having sex with a child between 14 and 16 years old, and sexually touching a child between 10 and 16.
The Bargo man had also been charged with doing a sexual act with a child and using a carriage service to groom a minor for sex, to solicit child abuse material and to send indecent material to a minor.
Court documents show that the charge of using a carriage service to groom a minor for sex and doing a sexual act with a child were withdrawn.
However two new charges were laid, including intentionally sexually touch child between 10 and 16 and possess child abuse material.
In court on Friday, Duncan’s lawyer told the court the charge certificate had been filed on Thursday and they were looking to adjourn the matter for a case conference.
Duncan did not appear at court.
According to court documents, Duncan allegedly had sex with a 14-year-old girl twice at an undisclosed location in Tahmoor. Police further allege he sexually touched the teen twice during the same month.
Police claim Duncan used his phone to solicit child sex abuse material and send indecent material to the 14-year-old in June and July this year in Bargo.
They further allege that he possessed seven naked photos of the 14-year-old victim.
Duncan is currently on bail but restrained by restrictive conditions which prohibit him from entering the town of Tahmoor. He is also only allowed access to one phone, and the passcode must be given to police.
He was arrested on October 7 by the Child Abuse Unit South Metro and has not entered any pleas to the charges. The matter returns to Picton Local Court on July 15.
