A 23-year-old remains in jail on remand after being charged with sexually assaulting a woman in southwest Sydney.
Jaiden Leahy, 23, has been charged with having sexual intercourse without consent between February 19 and March 5, 2021 at Narellan.
The Narellan resident did not appear at Picton Local Court on Monday, but prosecutors revealed that while the matter was in for charge certification it would need to be adjourned for a few weeks.
This matter returns to court on May 20.
The court was told that in an unrelated matter, Mr Leahy has also been charged with robbery in company and a back-up offence of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of others.
Prosecutors allege that at about 5pm on October 30, 2021 at Narellan, Mr Leahy and two others robbed a man of an iPhone, Nike jacket and Nike track pants.
They further allege that he assaulted the same victim causing bodily harm.
In court on Friday, a charge of robbery while armed with an offensive weapon relating to the incident on October 5 was withdrawn by the prosecutor.
The second matter returns to Picton Local Court on June 10. No pleas have been entered in either matter and Mr Leahy remains on remand.
