A 14-year-old boy has been accused of fleeing police for almost two hours across Sydney’s southwest, allegedly riding a stolen motorbike with a passenger hanging off the back at one point.

Campbelltown Police claim to have identified a Yamaha motorcycle speeding along Pembroke Rd, Minto, with the number plates removed about 8.30pm on Sunday.

Police allege the teenager then tried to “bait” them to chase him and his passenger, leading to the use of police aircraft, known as PolAir, to track him to a petrol station in Ingleburn.

Officers arrested the motorbike passenger but the 14-year-old rider allegedly escaped back onto the road.

Police say PolAir tracked the teen riding through Glenfield, Macquarie Fields, Ingleburn, Minto, Leumeah, St Andrews and on the Hume Highway, where he allegedly travelled at more than 160 km/h.

After being tracked for an hour-and-a-half, the teenager allegedly dumped the motorcycle in bushland in east Campbelltown before hiding inside a nearby house.

Police entered the home by force and claim they located the 14-year-old hiding in a bedroom.

He allegedly reacted violently as officers attempted to arrest him, injuring one officer whose hand is said to have been fractured.

The motorcycle was found to have been reported stolen to police two days earlier and was seized.

The 14-year-old was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and charged with police pursuit, taking a vehicle without consent, speeding more than 45km/h over the limit, riding in a manner dangerous and resisting arrest.

He was refused bail to face a children’s court on Monday.

In a separate incident about 8am on Saturday, highway patrol officers spotted a woman allegedly speeding almost 40km/h above the speed limit on the Hume Motorway in Menangle.

When police stopped the 57-year-old Victorian woman, who had allegedly been travelling at 147km/h, she is said to have refused to provide her licence and fled the scene.

Police say they chased the woman for several kilometres before she stopped once again on the highway, this time near Campbelltown.

The 57-year-old then allegedly locked her car doors and windows, leading police to smash two of her windows and remove her from the vehicle as she continued to resist arrest.

The woman, who is said to identify with the “sovereign citizen” movement, allegedly refused to submit to a roadside breath test and was taken to Campbelltown Police Station.
