NSW Waratahs players Kane Douglas and Jeremy Tilse got a bird's eye view of Camden Rugby Club in an effort to nurture junior rugby.

Lock Douglas and prop Tilse were flown in a helicopter to the Rams' home ground to sign autographs and conduct clinics as part of the Try Rugby initiative.

Junior club president Darren Smith said more than 150 children attended.

"The players were really excellent with the juniors joining in with the skills sessions, getting everyone involved and entertaining them with question time."

Club member John Kennedy said the children enjoyed the clinics.

"Kane and Jeremy ran some great activities and it was fantastic to have them out here because it's essential to nurture rugby at the grassroots," he said.
