Harrington Park man, 45, charged with drugs, firearm offences

A 45-year-old Harrington Park man has been charged with a number of drugs and firearm offences after being stopped by police driving a red Holden Commodore ute on Wednesday.

A Harrington Park man has been charged with a number of drugs and firearm offences after being stopped for an alleged traffic infringement.

The 45-year-old man, who was allegedly driving on a suspended licence, was pulled over on Sir Warwick Fairfax Drive, Harrington Park, driving a red Holden Commodore ute about 10pm on Wednesday.

Inquiries revealed the man’s driver’s licence was suspended.

He was arrested and subsequently charged with negligent driving, drive motor vehicle while licence suspended, possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, and supply prohibited drug greater indictable and less commercial quantity.

He was also charged with three counts of drug possession.

The Harrington Park man was formally refused bail at Parramatta Local Court yesterday.

He will reappear at Campbelltown Local Court on August 20.
