HARRINGTON PARK hero Daniel Geale has settled in New York City five days before his International Boxing Federation world middleweight title defence on Saturday (11.30am Sunday AEST).

Following his last public appearance at Redfern PCYC and final training session at Grange Old School Boxing gym, Geale landed in the US on Saturday.

The father of three thanked fans for their support on his Facebook page.

"Morning all. My last training session in half (an) hour before flying out a bit later," Geale said.

"Feeling so strong mentally and physically.

"The messages of support I have been getting has been overwhelming."

Geale also updated fans on his final training sessions.

"Preparation is perfect. Adjustment to different time zones made easy," Geale said.

"Light sessions now until the fight. Six days to go."

The HBO prime-time fight is Geale's professional debut in the US and fifth defence of the IBF world middleweight belt, which he claimed after defeating Sebastian Sylvester in Germany in 2011.

Main Event will be showing the fight at 11.30am on Sunday, August 18, and it can be ordered on Foxtel from today for $39.95.
