Garbage truck ploughs through cars on Campbelltown road

At least six vehicles were destroyed when a garbage truck ploughed through them on Badgally Rd, Campbelltown, this afternoon.

It is believed the vehicles were parked on the roadside, near Best Buys Auto car yard when the incident happened about 2.30pm.

The truck was travelling north on Badgally Rd, heading towards the Johnson and North Steyne roads roundabout intersection when the accident occurred.

The 58 year old driver of the truck suffered minor injuries. No one else was injured in the accident.

Witnesses report the garbage truck sideswiped one motor vehicle then struck the other cars.

Ambulance, Fire and Rescue NSW and police crews all attended.

Police are investigating.

Traffic has now returned to normal along Badgally Rd.
