THE first land lots released at Newbrook, Airds’ new masterplanned community, sold out within hours.
The 36 lots ranged in size from 345sq m to 595sq m and were priced between $230,000 and $280,000.
Matthew Beggs, acting head of transition at UrbanGrowth NSW, said the parcels of land were popular with buyers as there was a vast range available.
“Diversity is one of the key things when it comes to affordability and creating a masterplanned community,” Mr Beggs said.
Mr Beggs said the sellout was expected as there had been pent up buyer demand for land in the area, at a reasonable price.
“We had strong interest from families and couples and that is exactly what we intended for the project.”
First-home buyers Neville and Penaaz Gotla, from Chipping Norton, snapped up a 544sq m lot in the release, after searching for the perfect block of land for about a year.
Mr Gotla said the couple were impressed by the price point and the community’s proximity to shopping centres and schools.
Newbrook is set to span 193ha and will have playgrounds, barbecue facilities, a pond, a community centre and three parks, including two new playing fields.
Mr Beggs said it would cater to the active family with cycle and walking pathways.
