The Narellan Jets have announced a coup by signing former Kangaroo and Blues representative Matt King as a guest player.
The former Rabbitohs, and Storm flyer has been unveiled as the Jets' marquee signing.
Narellan coach Daryn Fallshaw secured the big name signing through his association with South Sydney assistant coach and Narellan resident Wayne Collins.
"We thought it'd be good for the competition and the club," Fallshaw said.
"We're getting him for as many games as we can."
King is expected to play in the match against Camden and said he wanted to give back to the game.
"Rugby league has been so good to me, so hopefully I get a game and we can build a bit of buzz around it," he said.
"I'm really looking forward to it ... I'm gonna be bloody rusty though.
"My lungs will know about it, that's for sure."
Matt King is proud of his country heritage and has plans to head home to help his junior club out.
"I'm a country boy through and through and I always wanted to give back to the community after I finished playing," he said.
"I would love to play for the Casino Cougars down the track, but I didn't want to be selfish, I'd like to spread the love around a bit."
Despite the possibility King's commitments with South Sydney and the media could prevent him playing as many games as he would like, Fallshaw wasn't perturbed.
"He'll be a 40 point (salary cap) player and that affects the team, but there aren't too many Matt Kings available out there," he said.
"The players are all looking forward to playing and learning off him.
"It shows that we can sign players like that and who knows maybe we can jag a sponsor out of it as well."
