THE clock is ticking, with less than 24 hours remaining for the Macarthur region to have their say to Transport for NSW on the proposed M9 Outer Sydney Orbital corridor.
The eight-lane motorway and freight rail line, stretching more than 70km and up to 300m wide, will connect the Hume Highway near Menangle to Box Hill, near the future Western Sydney Airport.
Camden Liberal MP Chris Patterson encouraged all residents, affected or not, to put in their submissions.
“If you feel that you are impacted or would like to have your say, I urge you to put in your submission,” he said.
“Transport for NSW is reading every submission and the government is absolutely listening and I do believe there will be a positive result.
“My one message to government, and it has been heard loud and clear, is that people want to know an outcome sooner rather than later.”
More than 200 properties in the Camden and Wollondilly shire region will be directly impacted by the proposed corridor, which has been described by the community as “monstrous.”
