Dozens of pugs and their owners will gather in St Helen’s Park for a one of a kind event on Sunday.
About 30 canines are expected to meet at Mary Brookes off the leash dog park for the inaugural Pug Run, hosted by Campbelltown Pugs and South West.
Group member Rachel Linow said the event would see local pugs race around the park in an effort to raise funds for dog rescue organisation Denise at Paws.
“Denise is someone who’s showed a lot of love to the pug community so we’re giving the love back,” she said. “The more the merrier; anyone who wants to come down and have a pug cuddle or is thinking about getting one is welcome to come down.
“The dogs can play together and then we’ll have an organised race.”
Residents are invited to meet at the park at 11am for an 11.30am start.
