A man and woman are facing a string of horrific allegations they sexually abused a child and produced child abuse material.

A 41-year-old man and 27-year-old woman, both from Campbelltown have been each charged with 14 offences after being arrested in 2022.

In one charge, the duo face the offence of joint commission of aggravated sexual intercourse with a child between 14 and 16.

Prosecutors will allege the man encouraged the woman to have sexual intercourse with a victim, who was 14 years of age.

They further allege that in a joint commission, the pair committed an act of bestiality with a dog in August 2021.

It will also be alleged the man produced child abuse material of the woman having sexual intercourse with a victim who was 14 years of age.

Prosecutors will also allege the man had sexual intercourse with a young person five times.

They further claim that the man did intentionally sexually touch a young person between 16 and 18 three times.

Court documents state the man is also charged with possessing bestiality and child abuse material.

It is also alleged that the woman had sexual intercourse with a dog twice, attempted it on a third occasion and produced child abuse material.

Prosecutors further allege the woman incited a young person to touch another person sexually and intentionally touched a person aged between 16 and 18 on three occasions.

Court documents state it will also be alleged the woman had sexual intercourse with a young person five times.

The pair both fronted Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday, where it was revealed the Director of Public Prosecutions confirmed the cases had been reviewed by a Crown prosecutor who had certified charges.

Under NSW law, a prosecutor can only certify charges for trial if they are satisfied that the material contained in the police brief of evidence can establish an accused person’s guilt to each element of the offence.

The matters were adjourned for a mandatory case conference between legal teams and prosecutors, where any plea offers could be discussed before the case was committed to the NSW District Court.

Both the man and the woman are yet to enter any pleas to the charges. Both remain in custody on remand.
