Camden dance teacher charged over historic sexual abuse of male student

A southwest Sydney man has been charged over the alleged sexual abuse of a young student aged between nine and 11 at a dance school a deacde ago.
Detectives began investigating in June following reports a young boy had been sexually abused by a male dance teacher in Camden between 2011 and 2012.
Police conducted a search warrant at a Harrington Park home on Tuesday morning where they found electronic devices, which will undergo forensic examination.
A 35-year-old man was arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station.
He was charged with two counts of aggravated indecent assault where the victim is under the authority of the offender.
Police will allege in court the dance teacher sexually abused the male student, who was between the ages of nine and 11 at the time, in the Camden area.
The man was granted strict conditional bail and will appear in Picton Court on November 9.
Inquiries are continuing.
