A THIRD person has been charged in relation to the murder of 15-year-old Brayden Dillon, who was shot in his bed at his Glenfield home last year.
A 35-year-old woman from Doonside was arrested this morning at Riverstone police station, charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder, knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime, acting with an intent to pervert the course of justice, knowingly participating in a criminal group and drug supply.
The Daily Telegraph understands the woman is the sister of Conrad Craig, who was charged with the shooting of Brayden.
Police were called to Brayden Dillon’s home at 6.10am on Friday, April 14 last year, with police finding the 15-year-old in his bed with a gunshot wound to his head.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a critical condition, where he later died.
An investigation was launched by detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad and Campbelltown City Police Area Command under Strike Force Wongala following the murder.
It’s alleged by police that Brayden was murdered in retribution, due to his older brother allegedly stabbing another teen to death in Panania in 2016.
Police will allege the Doonside woman, who was arrested this morning, received and distributed money to help supply a false affidavit for another person, as well as sharing information about Brayden’s murder between various people.
Strike Force Wongala has previously charged two other people in relation to Brayden Dillon’s murder. They remain before the courts.
One of the two people, Sophie Massie, pleaded guilty earlier this month to being the getaway driver from the shooting.
The Doonside woman was refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court today.
Investigations are ongoing.
