Alex Ioane: Mateaki and Suliasi Taumalolo to stand trial over death of teen
Two brothers will fight allegations in the Supreme Court that they were involved in the violent out-of-control house party in Sydney’s southwest where a teen was left for dead in the middle of the road.

Younger brother Mateaki has been charged with murder, while older brother Susliasi is charged with affray in relation to the alleged incident.
Police allege Alex Ioane, 18, was attacked by a group of males for up to two minutes as he lay unconscious outside a Chester Rd home in Ingleburn last May following a out-of-control party last May.
Police allege witnesses saw a man kick Ioane from behind, striking him just under the back of the head, which saw the victim fall to the ground.
The teen was found by emergency services on the road with serious injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Eight people have been charged in relation to the alleged murder and remain before the court.
Both brothers will now fight the allegations against them in the Supreme Court in Sydney, after pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Mateaki Taumalolo is facing a separate charges of affray in Waverley Local Court later this month, accused of being involved in a brawl at Long Bay Jail.
The two brothers will face arraignment in Downing Centre on November 6, along with their cousin Tafuna Taumalolo, who is facing charges of murder and affray.
Tafuna’s sister Lute Taumalolo also appeared in Campbelltown Court on Wednesday.
She’s charged with concealing a serious offence.
Her legal team requested a one-week adjournment to finalise the agreed facts.
She’ll return to court on October 28.
