An accused balaclava-wearing turkey farm invader who allegedly trespassed on a turkey farm to disrupt business has had her hearing delayed.

Isabel Sleiman, of Petersham, has pleaded not guilty to entering enclosed agricultural lands to interfere with business and possessing a means of disguising a face with the intent to commit an indictable offence.

The 22-year-old was due to fight the charges in a hearing at Picton Local Court on Friday but the matter was delayed.

The police prosecutor informed the magistrate that one of the witnesses required for the hearing was following Covid isolation requirements and was unable to attend.

Due to this, they required that court proceedings be adjourned.

Police allege that on January 8, 2020, security spotted Sleiman, another woman and third person entered a Yarran Rd poultry farm property about 11.50pm.

The two women were allegedly chased down but the third person escaped. The duo allegedly were carrying a balaclava and pair of gloves.

Just days after the alleged crimes, the 21-year-old wearing a ‘Dominion’ T-shirt, told The Daily Telegraph she was “an animal activist … my comment is no comment”.

Dominion is a documentary which presents “an uncompromising, damning exploration of the various ways animals are used and abused by humans” according to its bio.

The matter returns to Picton Local Court for a hearing on January 19, 2023.
