A FAMILY of baby seagulls has been reunited after they were dumped near a petrol station at Leumeah recently.
WIRES Sydney South West bird co-ordinator Inga Tiere said the three birds were found by members of the public and taken to different vets.
“They love to eat, not too much fish and chips of course, but they’re eating well,” she said.
The birds were wrongly identified as a variety of different species before they were recognised as seagulls.
“They need to be released where they came from so I’ll take them down to Wollongong beach,” Ms Tiere said.
If anyone comes across an animal in distress take it to vet, where there will be no charge, or phone WIRES on 1300 094 737.
