The first part of the new four-lane divided road planned as an east-west link will connect Menangle Road at Menangle Park to the Hume Motorway.

Stage two will be a 3km stretch of road that would link Liz Kernohan Drive in the west with the road created in stage one.

Spring Farm Parkway stage one is being delivered by Georgiou Group and it is estimated around 150 jobs will be created during construction.

Member for Camden Peter Sidgreaves said the Spring Farm Parkway will support the people of Camden and Macarthur, one of the fastest growing areas in NSW.

“This is an important milestone for the $206 million project, and it means we are another step closer to delivering this vital piece of infrastructure for our community,” he said.

“North-facing ramps on the Hume Motorway will provide better connectivity and access to Greater Sydney and approximately 600 metres of Menangle Road at Menangle Park will also be upgraded.”

Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced the first state of the Spring Farm Parkway with Wollondilly candidate Nathaniel Smith and Camden candidate Peter Sidgreaves in 2019.

According to Transport for NSW, construction is scheduled to begin mid-2022.

Minister for Metropolitan Roads Natalie Ward said stage two of the Spring Farm Parkway project was also progressing, with community feedback being reviewed.

“This second and final stage will complete the east-west link by connecting stage one in Menangle Park with Liz Kernohan Drive in Spring Farm,” she said.
