MACARTHUR   Rams will get a second bite at the NSW Premier League Men's 2 grand final apple, despite a 2-1 loss to St George at Jensen Park last Sunday.

The second semi-final of the NSW Premier League 2 didn't start well for the Rams, who went 1-0 down in the first two minutes after St George No.12 David Dascal scored a free kick with a perfectly placed ball in the top corner evading keeper Chad Taylor.

St George went ahead 2-0 late in the first half after Bruno Pivato passed to captain Juan Chavez who found the back of the net.

But the Rams demonstrated their fighting spirit when midfielder Alvaro Malmierca provided an excellent ball for striker Shannon Hankin to score a spectacular diving header  in  the  60th  minute.

The remaining 30 minutes thrilled the crowd as the Rams searched for the equaliser and St George tried to finish the game off.

The Saints booked their grand final berth and Macarthur will face Mounties Wanderers in the preliminary final this Saturday at 7pm, at a venue to be advised, for the last spot.
