JAYDEN Harris is this week’s Local Sports Stars nominee thanks to his exploits in the air.

Harris competed at the NSW State Age Trampoline titles earlier this month and won gold in the under-15s synchronised trampoline event with partner Myles O’Neill. He also placed third in the individual trampoline and seventh in the double mini trampoline.

Harris said he got a great thrill from performing his acrobatics.

“I’m always having a lot of fun and I like jumping up high,” he said.

But it doesn’t mean he doesn’t get nervous.

“I remember I was shaking when I was about to do my first double back somersault but I did it,” he said.

The categories are: Junior Sports Star Individual, Junior Sports Star Team, Young Sporting Spirit Individual, Young Sporting Star Team and Service to Sport.
