Don't miss out on the headlines from Local Sports Stars. Followed categories will be added to My News.
Despite her young age, Tasha White has a long history of success in the pool.
The 11-year old Beaumont Hills girl has been the metro northwest age champion since she was eight and was recently selected into the metro northwest target squad.
She has also been named Sydney west age champion and has competed at regional and state level.
On top of this, Tasha enjoys acting as a mentor for new and younger swimmers, with her mum Karen calling her “an inspiration and role model”.
“Tasha shows true sportsmanship when at meets. She always ensures her fellow swimmers are OK, supports them when they are nervous or anxious before a swim and she will be the first to congratulate her fellow swimmers and winners once the race is over.
“She shows determination, commitment, dedication and strength (and hopes) to one day follow in her idols, the Bronte sisters’ footsteps.”
Tasha is the latest nominee for the Rouse Hill Times Local Sports Stars awards, which are on until August 31.
Prizes will be awarded to athletes aged 18 and under across four categories: Junior Sports Star Individual, Junior Sports Star Team, Young Sporting Spirit Individual and Young Sporting Spirit Team. There is also a Service To Sport category.
