BRITNEY Archer is one the country’s best teenage netballers.
The 15-year-old St Clair resident is this week’s Local Sports Star nominee after being selected in the Australian under-15s side to tour South Africa in July.
Archer, who is part of the Talented Sports Program for netball at The Hills Sports High, can’t wait to play in the Indoor Netball Tri Series.
“It’s a big achievement and I’m really excited,” she said. “It’s going to be a great experience because I’ve never been overseas.”
She’s played for NSW and was voted the most valuable player at the Indoor Netball Nationals tournament despite being a year younger than everyone else on the court.
“It will be very special to put that uniform on,” she said.
Local Sports Stars is searching for top athletes aged under 18, as well as those that contribute to making sport a great experience for everyone.
