For dance instructor Lisa Biehl, dance is all about passion and with each lesson she teaches, her passion inspires her students to be the best they can be.

That philosophy has helped her Castle Hill dance studio thrive for 25 years.

Biehl’s students have performed and competed all over the world, taking the stage everywhere from Disney Land to Universal Studios and the Kennedy Space Centre.

“Miss Lisa”, as she’s better known, says students and staff at the Lisa Williams Dance Studio are united by their shared love of dance.

“I feel we are a family,” Biehl said. “I encourage the students to show dedication and to work as part of a team, but above all, the children are encouraged to have fun while dancing and to always have a smile on their face.

“I believe that the love of dance is the key to a great dancer … it is a great reward to know I have brought the love of dance to my students.”

She is a nominee for the Local Sports Stars’ Service to Sport award.
