No matter what sport he participates in, Kieren Morson always gives his best.
The 10 year old from Maraylya is a state level swimmer and a state representative in little athletics.
Kieren is also a standout on the rugby league field with the Rouse Hill Rhinos, earning a record four defensive awards during the season.
However his talent shines the brightest on the beach.
Kieren travels more an hour each way up to three times a week to train and compete with Collaroy Surf Lifesaving Club.
His commitment has paid off over the past two seasons as he’s earned state team representation in ocean swimming, board and associated relay.
Kieren says excelling in so many different sports is an “amazing” feeling and that the most enjoyable aspect of sport is “being part of a team, meeting new friends and improving (his) skills.”
Kieren is the latest nominee for the Rouse Hill Times Local Sports Stars awards, which are on until August 31.
Prizes will be awarded to athletes aged 18 and under across four categories: Junior Sports Star Individual, Junior Sports Star Team, Young Sporting Spirit Individual and Young Sporting Spirit Team. There is also a Service To Sport category.
