A marketing coordinator has cut ties with her criminal associations after two major crashes while affected by drugs and alcohol - including an incident where a motorist called police with fears her driving “would kill someone”.

Tiffany Eang, 31, appeared before Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday where she pleaded guilty to driving recklessly and not giving particulars to another driver after she crashed into a vehicle with GHB in her system in the airport tunnel at Mascot on May 13 last year.

Agreed police facts state Eang, after colliding with a vehicle, her car veered uncontrollably between lanes and nearly collided with a semi-trailer.

The driver she initially crashed into had followed her and called triple-0 as they feared Eang “would kill someone as a result of her driving.”

“Eang has then impacted heavily with another motor vehicle … this impact caused significant frontal damage to both cars,” the facts state.

As a result of the impact, the victim’s car was forced into a third vehicle.

Eang was assisted from her car by members of a public and she sat down outside a nearby Subway restaurant where she told police “I’ve had some GHB” – a party drug also known as liquid ecstasy.

“Eang struggled to stay conscious, was slumped in her chair, had dilated pupils, slurred her speech and appeared oblivious to the chaos she had just caused and was involved in,” the facts state.

Eang also pleaded guilty to driving recklessly and a police pursuit after she crashed into a semi trailer truck along the Cumberland Hwy on February 5.

She drove across a median strip following the smash, ran a red light and was seen by police driving between two lanes.

Police began pursuing Eang who then pulled into her driveway at Casula. She told police “I don’t want to say” when asked why she didn’t stop.

Eang’s lawyer said his client recognised “how selfish she was”.

Magistrate Imad Abdul-Karim said Eang had taken “significant steps” to address her issues, including “leaving the Sydney area where she was associating with criminal associates or anti social associates” for a fresh start in Melbourne.

Eang was convicted of all charges and was sentenced to a three year community corrections order.

She was also suspended from driving for 12 months and fined $500 in total for driving under the influence of drugs, driving recklessly and police pursuit.

No penalty was imposed for not giving particulars to other driver.
