Shepherd St, Liverpool: police seek potential witnesses after unit fire leads to discovery of drug lab
A unit fire in Sydney’s southwest led to the discovery of an alleged drug lab and estimated $6 million worth of ‘ice’. Now, police have released images of those who may be able to help the investigation.

When emergency services arrived at a unit fire in Sydney’s southwest, little did they expect to discover an alleged drug lab and stockpile of an estimated $6 million worth of ‘ice’.
Police have launched an investigation into the alleged drug premises located at a unit on Shepherd St, Liverpool and released images of people who they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.
Emergency services responded to the blaze about 8.20pm July 12, which was caused by the alleged drug lab.
Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command secured a crime scene once the fire was extinguished and specialist police were called to examine the drug processing equipment and ‘ice’ found in the unit.
Police have released images of a man, described as being of caucasian appearance, in his mid-20s, of medium build, with short dark hair and beard. He was wearing a pink hooded jumper, grey sweatpants and white sneakers.
The second man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, in his mid-20s, of medium build, with short dark hair and beard. He was wearing a white T-shirt, grey shorts and white sneakers.
The woman is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, in her mid-20s, of medium build, with long dark straight hair. She was wearing a black T-shirt, grey tights and white sneakers
Police have also released an image of a red MG3 displaying green P plates.
Anyone who maybe to identify either the two men, the woman or the vehicle is urged to contact Liverpool Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Investigations are continuing under Strike Force Whitehouse.
